Sponsorship Spotlight: 80s Tees

80s Tees is one of the coolest t-shirt shops on the internet. That’s why we were super pleased that they came back to sponsor Geeks for Tots. They’ve got a ton of great products and it was hard to narrow it down to just a few to check out! Protip: If you want to save money right off the bat, subscribe to their newsletter and get 10% off!

He-Man and She-Ra Sweater

Nothing says festive winter wear like He-Man and She-Ra! And they're on a faux terrible sweater making it even more festive!

R2-D2 Hoodie

I'm not a huge fan of costume hoodies, but this R2-D2 one is pretty rad... well at least with the hoodie part down.

1 Up Socks

Man, talk about super cute socks for a lady... or a man I suppose...
Thanks to 80sTees.com for being a sponsor! Be sure to enter Geeks for Tots!

Sponsorship Spotlight: Fantastic Plastic Toys

Fantastic Plastic Toys have fantastically agreed to be a sponsor for this year’s Geeks for Tots contest! Let's take a closer look at a few of their amazing wares! Protip: They offer international shipping, alongside free U.S. shipping on orders over $75.

Monster High

Presently the largest part of their stock are Monster High figures. If you are not familiar with them, Monster High figures are made by Mattel and are fashion dolls in similar vein of Barbie dolls. The difference being that the characters are the children of famous monsters or horror characters, such as Dracula and Frankenstein’s monster and do not exactly look like Barbie and her friends. They are fun figures for many people, including girls that might want to play with dolls that are no so "perfect" looking. Living Dead Dolls

Christmas + The Undead is a match made in heaven and Fantastic Plastic toys has just what you need, Living Dead dolls. Who wouldn’t want one of these beauties gracing their mantel? (Nohell, Toy Soldier)

The Walking Dead

Keeping in the zombie theme, they also have a few Walking Dead figures. They would make great gifts or something fun to get for yourself to keep you company as you watch the show each week. Daryl Dixon is the best. Don't even argue. These are just a few of the kinds of toys you can find at Fantastic Plastic Toys, so you should check out their site to see everything they have to offer.

Sponsorship Spotlight: Luke's Toy Store

Luke’s Toy Store has generously agreed to be a sponsor of this year’s Geeks For Tots contest and you should definitely check them out. They have holiday sale going on and you can get some great deals. Although they sell all kinds of different figures now, Luke's specialty is Minimates!

Ghostbusters

Look at that Slimer!!

Walking Dead

My favorite of the Walking Dead series is this disgusting zombie with his guts hanging out. It really captures the essence of the show, don’t you think?

Minimate Parts

Luke’s Toy Store even has a “Minimate Parts” page, where you can buy extra pieces to create or your own Minimate.

Thundercats

Check out this SDCC 2012Thundercats Classic Thundertank for Minimates. What Thundercats fan wouldn’t want to find that under their Christmas Tree?

Be sure to check out Luke’s Toy Store to thank them for their support of this year’s Geeks for Tots contest!

Sponsorship Spotlight: Backstage Toys

Backstage Toys is back again this year as a sponsor for the Geeks for Tots contest. They have such a variety of toys for sale that you can find something for just about everyone on your list and maybe even pick up some toys to donate to Toys for Tots. Pro Tip: Backstage Toys offers free shipping if you spend over $50 and many of their items ship free regardless of price if you have Amazon Prime. Just look for the Amazon Prime logo. Plush Toys
One type of toy that you might not see on a lot of other sites is a wide selection of plush toys , perfect for the younger kids in your life. Have a nephew or niece that can be a bit of a grump? How about this great Grouchy Smurf plush? Love that face. They also have plush Star Wars and Wolverine toys, among many other varieties. Twilight
Backstage Toys even has something for that angsty teen in your life (or sexually repressed mother) with a selection of Twilight items like an Edward Cullen “action” figure Really, though, you should do that teen a favor and introduce them to something a bit less lame. There are plenty of much cooler toys on the site to choose from. G.I. Joe
Geeks for Tots originally was Joes for Tots and if you want to honor that legacy and buy some GI Joe Figures , especially if you're into AFA grading. Thanks to Backstage Toys for their sponsorship!

Sponsorship Spotlight: Will's World of Wonder

A New Player Has Entered The Sponsorship Arena - Will's World of Wonder!!! Will graciously donated some great figures and G.I. Joe vehicles, so it's only fair we give him a little space so he can introduce himself to you:

I slid under the Geeks For Tots security gate right before it came down, as I knew this was a great cause! Will's World of Wonder specializes in new & used graphic novels and action figures acquired by me, William Bruce West. If you grew up loving it, I'm ready to sell your childhood back to you - AT GREAT PRICES! I've got Marvel Legends, DC Universe Classics, Transformers (G1 and recent), G.I. Joes and more!

If there's one thing that I love, it's the thought of kids having a great Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Boxing Day and nobody does that better than Toys for Tots. Will's World of Wonder is proud to be a part of this contest!

Toys for Tots Donations!

The above pic is of me, the founder of Geeks for Tots. I donate every year even though I can't enter the contest. How crazy is that!? This year I donated a G.I. Joe Skystriker, a Marvel Universe Sentry/Spider-Man two pack, and a Little Mermaid doll. I thought I'd share a few pictures of people donating to Toys for Tots to help motivate you to do the same... and enter the contest!

More Help From The Street Team

Geeks for Tots Street Team Lends a Hand

A few elite members of the Geeks for Tots Super Street Team were kind enough to volunteer for a dangerous mission and drop off fliers at local nerd emporiums. Today I share photographic evidence that our Street Team Crew is ready to wade through any nerd horde in order to spread our mission.

I'd like to thank those volunteers who have ventured out and gone above and beyond the call of duty to try and help kids this holiday season... even if they can't resist making a duck face in the photo.

Infinite Toys for Tots

Our friends over at Infinite Hollywood have an amazing deal called Infinite Toys for Tots. Send them a picture of you donating to Toys for Tots and guess what? THEY WILL MATCH THAT DONATION! So here's what you do, donate at toy RIGHT THIS SECOND and then send us a pic to enter Geeks for Tots and send the same pic to them so they can match your donation! What are you waiting for!?

Bargain Alert: Star Wars and Avengers Packs at Wal-Mart

Somehow this slipped under our noses, but if you're looking for a great way to get a lot of toys for a little amount of money to help multiple kids, Wal-Mart is offering 8 packs of Avengers and Star Wars figures.

One store that I visited had about 30 of these things left, so be sure to check out your local Wal-Mart store(s) to see if you can still get in on this action.

The assortments were solid selections of figures too. The Star Wars figures look like they might be overstock from last year or so, but there's great army builders and core characters in there.
